Chess is sexy

You've got another think coming, if you think chess is only good for a quite evening in front of the fireplace.

Chess  rocks!

Awesome shot of a "Pascha" interior. Beware if you jump into your car. Maybe your girlfriend sits on the passengers seat.

Porsche Games

If you are to young to get a drivers licence  to drive a real Porsche the only way is the EA Game Need for speed Porsche unleashed edition from 2000. Porsche Unleashed centers around racing Porsche sports cars, with models ranging from 1950 to 2000. Awesome graphics bring the feeling of test driving to you.

But what the Porsche driver in the age of mid 40th did in his childhood in late 70th?

He was dreaming about a realistic race game for his Atari VCS!

Top trumps Deutsche Auto-Asse

I don't know what the right translation for >>Blitztrumpf Quartett<<. Wikipedia says Authors or Top trumps. This game I found on a yard sale. It is published 1976 from ASS Germany. The Deutsche Auto Asse series started in 1971 and was very successful until the middle of the 80th.

new door handle inlets

One of the topics I had on my "to do" for a long have been to renew the door handles . Both sides looked not real good. On the driver side the inlet was fading out from the sun, on the passengers side the inlet was broken. Now I bought a set on ebay that was offered for early Golf and Scirocco. It was € 39,90 for the set.
The style is little different to what I had before, but on the car they fit pretty good.

Spareparts 1975

The official date of delivering  of the 924 to the customer was in spring 1976. In the year before Porsche shows the car on the International Automobil Ausstellung (IAA) in Frankfurt in November 1975. In 1975 also starts the campaign to introduce the new front engine car. The Porsche dealer got the first brochures, colorcharts and pamphlet for the showrooms. The shops receive the first manuals and spare part lists. This is an early Sparepart catalog from the first quarter of 1975. It came in four languages. german, english, french and italian.
Now the dealer have been prepared to sell the new car.

Mebetoys

there are many toys around from the little Porsche sportscar. You can find one in scale 1/87 to 1/12. My favorite is the 1960! Mebetoy in scale 1/24.

the mysterious sign

Another mysterious thing in the Porsche 924 life is the PORSCHE sticker on the rear hood. Somewhere in the WWW I found the information, that only the first 4000 cars had it. Looks pretty cool.

1979 Sebring

One of the famous limited edition of the 924 Porsche is the 1977 Championship edition. Also known as "Martini".

In 1979 another rare bird introduced from the Porsche AG. The sebring Porsche 924 shows up in the rear view mirror with a big 924 sticker on the front panel. From 2007 to 2008 I owned one of the unique pieces.

I want a new drug [Huey Lewis]

Damn, I like the early early Porsche 924 and the nice accessoires they made for the cars.
In the accessoires brochure you find everything to convert a sportscar into a familycar?

Funfactor upgrade

finally I found a roofrack for the 924S roof rail. Now I can combinate my two passions. The rack is made by Eckel and sold in Porsche Dealership. The back part is mounted with the 4 screws under the glashood. The front part has big rubber feet and clamps to hold it in position. I found my at an open house of the Porsche Zentrum Braunschweig/Germany. The bike carrier is a Mont Blanc barracuda. Below are two closer shots of the mounting.
